Cleanaway announces Chellew as new Chairman

Cleanaway incoming Chairman Mark Chellew
Existing Cleanaway Director Mark Chellew has taken up the role as the company’s new Chairman.

Mr Chellew, who has served on the Cleanaway Board since March 2013 and has been Deputy Chairman since 19 February, took up the post on 30 September. He has more than 30 years’ experience in industrial markets in Australia and overseas, and was most recently CEO of Adelaide Brighton Ltd, from where he stepped down in May 2014. He is currently Chairman of Manufacturing Australia Ltd.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Chellew said he was looking forward to continuing to work with the Board and management team on the next phase of growth for Australia’s largest waste management company.

The incoming Chairman takes over the role from Martin Hudson, who announced in February that he would be retiring later this year. Mr Hudson will also step down as a Director at the company’s AGM on 27 October.
