Leading Australian environmental services provider Citywide has appointed Chris Campbell as its new CEO.

Mr Campbell joins Citywide on 19 October from EnergyAustralia.

Melbourne-based Chris Campbell describes himself as a “transformational senior executive, with extensive commercial experience”. He has more than 20 years’ executive leadership experience in the resources and energy sectors in Australia and internationally.

Before working with EnergyAustralia, Mr Campbell spent much of his career at BHP Billiton, where he held a variety of senior roles including Chief Development Officer – Nickel, Vice President of Strategy & Business Development – Iron Ore, and most recently Head of Group Public Affairs.

Citywide Chairman John Brumby said the Board was delighted to have someone of Mr Campbell’s calibre and experience leading the Citywide team.

“Chris has a proven track record in building and developing high performing teams and businesses to deliver strong results and financial growth,” said Mr Brumby. “He joins the business at an exciting time as we seek to take the company through its next phase of evolution and growth, which has included the recent appointments of two new directors and a refreshed executive management team.”

Acting CEO John Collins, who has led the business during the recruitment will resume his role as Chief Financial Officer when Mr Campbell starts in post in October.
