EPA WA Welcomes New Board Member

Dr James Limerick has been appointed to the board of Western Australia’s Environmental Protection Authority.

The experienced management consultant has been appointed for a three-year term beginning on 5 November.

Dr Limerick joins incoming EPA Chairman Dr Tom Hatton, Deputy Chairman Robert Harvey and members Elizabeth Carr and Glen McLeod on the independent board.

Commenting on the appointment, WA Environment Minister Albert Jacob said: “Dr Limerick has a proven record in delivering on substantial policy and strategic planning matters to ensure further development is managed in an environmentally and socially sound way for future generations.

“I congratulate Dr Limerick on his appointment and I am confident his wealth of experience will serve to complement the EPA.”

Dr Limerick is the chair of Fremantle Port, Ports WA and a member of the advisory board to the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority. He is also the former director general of the Department of Industry and Resources.
