Wastech acquires Tieman National Service

Recycling equipment supplier Waste acquires Tieman's National Service business
Wastech Engineering has signed a Heads of Agreement with Tieman Industries to acquire its National Service business.

The Victorian-based supplier of waste and recycling equipment announced the acquisition on 25 August.

Effective immediately, the Tieman National Service business will be renamed ‘Wastech Field Service’ and will retain Tieman’s service employees, technicians and national fleet.

In the acquisition announcement, Wastech CEO Brett Jones said: “Both brands are synonymous with quality and outstanding customer service; the natural synergies between the businesses are clearly evident.”

Geoff Bent, Tieman National Branch Operations Manager, will continue to lead the business and report to Jones. The 1300 TIEMAN phone number and current technician numbers will also remain for the time being.

According to Wastech, a key benefit of the acquisition is “further enhancement of our customer service experience through the combination of the established Wastech Service Fleet and the Tieman Service business”.

The acquisition adds a fleet of over 60 service vehicles based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide to the Wastech business.
