The  Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA) has launched a new resource to help promote career opportunities within the industry and help organisations within it to find new talent.

The new WMAA Career Centre – at www.jobsinwaste.com.au – aims “to connect career opportunities with highly qualified waste and resource recovery industry talent”.

The portal has specific functions for job seekers and companies recruiting to fill positions.

Individuals looking for a new job opportunity can their CV anonymously, so employers can contact them speculatively and to receive alerts when a job is posted that matches their personal profile, skills, interests and preferred location(s). The website also links to career resources and job search tips and tools.

They can also search and apply to the latest vacancies posted by relevant industry organisations and businesses.

For companies looking to recruit for open positions, they can post jobs to the most relevant and qualified industry professionals, as well as searching the resume database to find and contact qualified candidates proactively. Vacancies will also be shared directly to WMAA job seekers via the exclusive Job Flash email.

More details are available on the WMAA Career Centre website.
