Waste Innovation and Recycling Awards highlight innovation
Veolia has chosen to be involved in the Waste Innovation and Recycling Awards for more than a decade.
Regarded as the key industry event that unites all players, the awards celebrate the successes and contributions the sector has made to its customers and communities.,
“And to be perfectly honest, it’s also simply a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues who understand the challenges and recognise the triumphs in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere,” said Kate Moonen, Veolia ANZ Chief Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer.
“In a fast-growing, dynamic sector that is setting the agenda for the circular economy of the future, the awards highlight the best that we all bring to this future.
“Veolia takes great pride in sponsoring the innovation award because today’s innovations are tomorrow’s agenda setters.”
Moonen said industry must get smarter about how it tackles obstacles to achieve the best environmental and social outcomes. The innovation award highlights how something doesn’t have to be huge and completely up-end old norms to make a difference. Often small innovations have the biggest impact.
She said it’s always exciting to see the solutions produced by the brightest minds in the business. For the 2024 Waste Innovation and Recycling Awards Moonen hopes to see nominations that produce better environmental, social or customer outcomes.
