Transpacific To Rebrand As Cleanaway Waste Management

Transpacific Industries Group is planning to rebrand as Cleanaway Waste Management, the name of its largest business.

Shareholders will be able to vote on the proposal at the company’s annual general meeting on 30 October.

An ASX announcement from the recycling and waste management services firm said: “The change of the Company’s name is part of a group-wide rebranding initiative, which will be launched in early 2016. If the change of name is approved by shareholders, the effective date for the name change will coincide with the launch of this rebranding initiative.”

Commenting on the announcement, Transpacific Industries CEO Vik Bansal said: “The change of the company’s name will support removal of duplication of the group’s organisation and operating structure and will assist in reducing and realigning our cost base.”
