Cherisa CJ Bellis, WRIQ Executive Officer – Member Services
Waste Recycling Industry Queensland (WRIQ) has recruited a former Australian Army major to boost its service provision to members.

Cherisa ‘CJ’ Bellis joins WRIQ this month as Executive Officer – Member Services, contracted to work on a two days a week basis.

WRIQ CEO Rick Ralph announced Cherisa’s appointment at the WRIQ Business Lunch in Brisbane on Friday (4 December).

Rick said that recruiting a new team member aims to ensure the association remains dynamic, as well as constantly adding and delivering value to its members and sponsor partners.

“Cherisa’s role with the association is to focus and expand our delivery of Member Services, in particular reinvigorating our working groups and developing other important new ideas that members will find of benefit and interest,” said Mr Ralph.

Cherisa’s responsibilities will also include reviewing the format of WRIQ’s member forums and its Annual Industry Awards of Excellence.

More than 100 WRIQ members and guests attended the Annual Business Lunch on Friday. Tyre Stewardship Australia’s CEO, Matt Genever, provided the keynote speech, updating the audience on the work and objectives of the product stewardship scheme for end of life tyres in the country.
