AORA calls for conference abstracts

Keynote speaker at AORA National Conference 2016 - 2017 abstracts now invited
The national peak body for organic recyclers has set the date for its 2017 conference and is inviting abstracts for consideration.

The Australian Organics Recycling Association (AORA) National Conference 2017 will be held 10 to 12 May in Adelaide to coincide with International Compost Awareness Week.

The theme for this year’s event is ‘Healthy Soil, Healthy Food in a circular economy’. To set the program, AORA is now accepting abstracts for consideration. Presentations can be individual, group or poster, or an alternative option is to create an A1 sized poster presentation for display during the networking areas for the duration of the conference. Guidance for abstracts is on the AORA website.

Submissions of abstracts must be received by close of business 30 January 2017, and successful authors will be notified by 22 February. Any enquiries regarding abstract submission should be directed to Peter McLean, Executive Officer by emailing peter@aora.org.au or phoning 0416 227 158.

AORA’s national event is specifically designed for those working in the organics recycling and composting sectors. Over three days, it showcases the latest developments and issues, best practice and innovation. The program includes workshops, networking opportunities, keynote speakers, panels, case studies, the National Awards gala dinner and site tours.

Registration will open on 1 February 2017 and the early bird discount will run until 5 April.

More details of the AORA National Conference 2017 and state events are on the website.
