Applications for the second round of NSW EPA’s Weighbridge Grants for waste facilities close today (21 August).
The Weighbridge Fund will help recycling facilities to install weighbridges, which will make it easier to collect and pay the waste and environment levy.
NSW EPA has made $3 million available in this round. Recipients can request grants for 50% of the cost of installing a weighbridge up to a maximum of $75,000.
Facilities based in NSW that recover, recycle, process or store waste, and are liable for the waste levy, must install a weighbridge by 1 February 2016 to accurately record waste movements.
NSW EPA has contracted Hyder Consulting to provide free assistance to Weighbridge Fund applicants with their grant applications.
Second round applications close today (21 August) at 5.00pm.
