APCO, in partnership with Dairy Australia, the Australian Dairy Products Federation and Australia’s major dairy manufacturers will launch The Australian Dairy Sustainable Packaging Roadmap to 2025, on 19 October.

The roadmap is the culmination of nearly two years of collaborative work by the dairy manufacturing sector, looking across the entire dairy packaging value chain.

It is the first report of its kind to outline an industry-specific strategy to deliver packaging circularity for the Australian dairy products sector.

The Roadmap demonstrates the work already undertaken by the dairy industry on packaging sustainability, while highlighting the current barriers and limitations impeding further progress. It also provides a collective industry vision, defining the actions required along the whole packaging value chain, as well as by government and consumers, to support dairy manufacturers in delivering the Roadmap’s objectives.
The launch will involve lead organisations involved in the development of the roadmap, including

Brooke Donnelly, APCO Chief Executive, and David Nation, Dairy Australia Managing Director.

Janine Waller, Chief Executive Australian Dairy Products will lead a panel discussion with businesses involved in the Roadmap’s development, to understand more about the key challenges and the level of transformation required to shift the dairy manufacturing industry further towards packaging circularity by 2025.

The launch will be a virtual event on 19 October, 2021 at 2pm (AEDT).
