Bucher Municipal is trialling its new Gen V Series II Side Loader on the latest Iveco ACCO 6×4 cab chassis.
Having seven wheelbases available in the ACCO 6×4 range to choose from, Bucher engineers opted for a shorter 4800mm wheelbase to complement the new side loader’s more compact dimensions.
Bucher Municipal Product Manager, Marcus Hughes, said the ACCO was selected as the preferred platform for the Gen V Series II for a several reasons.
“Firstly, the ACCO is the industry standard for compactor work,” Marcus said.
“The chassis is easy to work with and being locally-designed and manufactured allows for extensive customisation down the production line.
“Other benefits include the ACCO’s optimal payload, factory-built and supported dual control systems and excellent resale value,” he added.
The ACCO-based Gen V Series II Side Loader is currently available for demonstrations, and is already proving popular with customers due to the new compact configuration.
