Independent advisory body Infrastructure Victoria will host a free webinar on 8 August discussing the sector’s progress towards a circular economy.

‘Waste and resource recovery – are we making progress towards a circular economy?’ will reflect on the progress of Victoria’s waste, resource recovery, and recycling sectors over the past few years, and assess the challenges of circular economy transition and planning for a zero-waste future.

The webinar will be facilitated by Infrastructure Victoria Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Spear, and feature a panel of industry experts including Matt Genever, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Sustainability Victoria, Jill Riseley, Chief Executive Officer of the Metropolitan Waste and Resource Recovery Group (Recycling Victoria), and David Jettner, General Manager – Corporate Development and Strategic Projects at Opal.

With its decades of experience across sustainability, policy, stakeholder relations and capital works projects, the panel will be exploring circular economy strategies and opportunities to reduce waste and lift recycling rates.

The webinar will stream from 10am to 11am (AEST) on Monday, 8 August 2022.
