Last chance for WMAA award nominations

The nominations deadline is looming for this year’s WMAA Women in the Environment Award, with Wednesday (31 August) the last day to enter.

The Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA) is urging industry professionals to put forward their inspirational female peers for this coveted prize, or for women to nominate themselves, by the 31 August closing date.

The WMAA Women in the Environment Award will be presented to a woman who has made a significant contribution to environmental sustainability in Australia over the past five years.

Nominees must demonstrate that they have at least two years’ experience in the environment sector in Australia.

The 2015 winner was Janine Price, Manager – Environment at Australian Pork Limited.

This year’s recipient will be announced at the WMAA Victoria Christmas Dinner in Melbourne on 8 December.
