Melbourne ready for AWRE 2015

AWRE 2015 Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo
More than 1,600 visitors are expected to attend the upcoming Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE) in Melbourne.

AWRE takes place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre over 12 to 13 August. The two-day event includes sessions on the future of e-waste, weight-based charging and new processing facilities.

Attendees also have the option of taking a lunch tour to found out more about food recycling in Melbourne CBD on the Thursday.

Around 100 exhibitors from across the waste and recycling industry will have stands in the exhibition hall. The displays will include one from MobileMuster, who will be showing a replica of the MCG made out of 570 mobile phones and 500 circuit boards. This is to encourage people to think about recycling their old mobile phones and keeping such e-waste out of landfill sites.

The event also includes the presentation of the AWRE Innovation Awards.
