NSW EPA has officially opened Round 3 of the Weighbridge Fund for applications.

NSW EPA is making a total of $3 million available to eligible waste and recycling facilities, with individual grants up to a maximum of $75,000 to cover 50 per cent of the capital cost to install a weighbridge.

If a facility recovers, recycles, processes or stores waste and is liable for the waste levy in NSW, it is required to install a weighbridge and accurately record waste movements. Waste and recycling facilities in the waste levy areas and licensed landfills outside of the waste levy area are eligible for the grants.

Applications for the third round close at 5.00pm on 19 February.

More information – including guidelines, eligibility criteria and the application form – are available on the EPA NSW website.
