RecycleSmart, the start-up behind the Power Pickup and the collection service for tricky-to-recycle items, is launching its first crowdfunding campaign.
RecycleSmart has experienced 175 per cent growth since its launch and is achieving more than $1 million annual recurring revenue (ARR). It hopes, with the launch of a crowdfunding campaign, to take its mission to new heights.
Power of the People
Giorgio Baracchi, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, said RecycleSmart’s success story is a testament to the power of collective action. By harnessing the passion of environmentally conscious individuals and engaged councils, the company has grown exponentially and now has a community of more than 37,000 Recycle Heroes.
Through its user-friendly app and convenient collection service, RecycleSmart has made recycling soft plastics, e-waste, clothes, batteries, polystyrene, and much more, accessible and convenient.
Baracchi said the company’s commitment to transparency and simplicity has resonated with an expanding customer base. Now, RecycleSmart is turning to the people once again to shape its future.
Expansion and Innovation
“RecycleSmart’s crowdfunding campaign represents a pivotal moment for the company,” Baracchi said. “With the funds raised, RecycleSmart plans to expand its services across Australia, helping even more communities to recycle and reuse better.”
The campaign will also enable RecycleSmart to broaden the range of items it collects, adding new items to the ever growing list of “misfits” but also introducing new categories; develop its offer for workplaces, cafes, retailers; leverage AI technology to enhance the user experience; and secure strategic corporate partnerships to lower the cost for the end-user.
An Investment Opportunity
“This crowdfunding campaign is not just an invitation to participate in RecycleSmart’s journey; it also presents a unique investment opportunity,” Baracchi said.
“By inviting individuals to participate in its mission, RecycleSmart is embracing the power of the people to accelerate Australia’s transition towards the circular economy that our planet needs now.”
