Cairns Regional Council in Queensland is inviting submissions to develop a ‘Resource Recovery 2040 Roadmap’ business case.
The roadmap needs to be developed according to Building Queensland’s Business Case Development Framework, which identifies the actions which will allow Council to optimise resource recovery systems, to meet or move towards the Queensland State resource recovery targets.
These state resource recovery targets are 70 per cent by 2030, then 90 per cent by 2040 and beyond to 95 per cent by 2050.
Cairns Regional Council says the intention for the business case is to take a long-term view of critical waste system dynamics out to 2040, for the purposes of informing short and medium-term decision making over the 2022 – 2030 timeframe.
The tender closes at 4:30pm, Tuesday 17 May 2022. Submissions must be fully received by this time, as late tenders will not be accepted.
