TSA announces new directors

Tyre Stewardship Australia's public education campaign
Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) has appointed two new independent directors, but there is no news of it securing a new CEO.

Melissa Holzberger and David Spear were announced on 18 August as having taken on their roles with Australia’s tyre product stewardship scheme.

An experienced Company Director and Governance Consultant, Mr Spear comes in as Independent Chairman of TSA with immediate effect. Among his other positions, he is Director of advisory firm VUCA Pty Ltd and Independent Chairman at Basketball Adelaide and Chairman of the Free Throw Foundation.

Ms Holzberger is an Independent Company Director and commercial lawyer. She currently holds positions including Deputy Chair and a Director of the national motorsport organisation, Karting Australia, as well as Chair of the company’s Governance, Finance and Risk Management Committee. She also sits on the advisory council for the Federal Government’s Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency.

However, the organisation was unable to confirm details of a new CEO following the recent departure of Matt Genever. It is understood the TSA is hoping to engage the new incumbent by the end of the year.
