The Victorian Waste and Resource Recovery (VWRR) Forum will be held on 29 March 2023, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
The theme for the year’s forum is Are we on the path to 80%.
Ongoing disasters, both natural and pandemic, have put a spotlight on waste and resource recovery (WARR) and highlighted the need to have resilience in the Australian sector.
At the forum, all levels of government will come together with local and national industry experts to discuss the current challenges and future opportunities as they apply to the Victorian sector.
The full-day program will be split into four sessions. Hear from state government representatives from Environment Protection Authority, Sustainability Victoria and Recycling Victoria on the current state of play; get a picture of what the WARR sector looks like across all levels of government and how it can work with government to achieve positive outcomes; learn about some of the projects already underway and making an impact in Victoria; and what’s next? The final session will focus on areas that will help fill the diversion gap and move Victoria along the path towards a circular economy.
