Australia’s premier resource recovery and sustainable solutions event returns to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 28-29 October 2026.

This year’s event is set to scale on previous years, bringing together more of Australia’s waste, recycling, and resource recovery sectors than ever before.

With more than 150 exhibitors slated to be on the show floor, Waste Expo Australia continues to strengthen its position as the country’s leading event for professionals seeking the latest technologies, equipment, services, and solutions driving the circular economy.

Major industry leaders confirmed for the exhibition floor include Visy Recycling, Scania Australia, Iveco, Lincom Group, Wastech Engineering, Steinert, Bucher Municipal, Terex Australia, Paintback, Repurpose It, Infrabuild Australia, Brentwood Recycling Systems, Eriez Magnetics, CM Shredders, ELDAN Recycling, Pellenc ST, and many more.

This growing exhibitor line-up reflects the industry’s continued investment in innovation across resource recovery, heavy equipment, fleet, automation, artificial intelligence, weighing systems, fire protection, organics processing, recycling technologies, and advanced materials handling.

International participation is also continuing to expand, with exhibitors from Europe, Asia, and North America showcasing new technologies that will help shape the future of Australia’s waste and recycling sector.

Alongside the exhibition, the conference program will again deliver practical insights from industry leaders, government representatives, and technical experts across four dedicated content streams. Attendees can expect discussions covering circular economy policy, recycling innovation, waste infrastructure, organics, technology, operational excellence, safety, and the future of resource recovery.

Returning in 2026 is the Greener Infrastructure Conference (GIC), delivered in partnership with the Infrastructure Sustainability Council. The conference will bring together government, contractors, engineers, infrastructure owners, and sustainability leaders to explore how recycled and low-carbon materials can be specified and delivered at scale across Australia’s infrastructure projects.

As governments continue to increase requirements around recycled content and sustainable procurement, GIC provides a unique platform to showcase practical case studies, procurement pathways, and innovative materials that are helping accelerate circular outcomes across the built environment.

With registrations opening this month, visitors are encouraged to secure their place early and begin planning meetings with exhibitors, conference sessions, and networking opportunities.

Whether you’re looking to source new equipment, discover emerging technologies, understand regulatory changes, or connect with key decision-makers from across the industry, Waste Expo Australia 2026 will once again bring the entire sector together under one roof.

Registration opens:

  • Greener Infrastructure Conference (GIC): 15 July 2026
  • Waste Expo Australia: 22 July 2026
