Wastech To Demo FAUN Trucks At Waste Management In Action

Wastech Engineering is planning to display two of its most advanced rear loader and street sweeping trucks at the Waste Management In Action expo next year.

One of Australia’s leading equipment suppliers to the waste and recycling industry, Wastech is the latest company to confirm it will be exhibiting at the Melbourne Showgrounds-based event in May 2016.

Wastech CEO Brett Jones said the company’s recent acquisitions of Tieman National Service and Tieman Tail Lifts makes Waste Management In Action “a great opportunity” to highlight its product and service offering to the waste, recycling and materials handling sectors.

“Not many companies in Australia can offer what we do,” said Mr Jones.

“Wastech now provides a total solution for its customers from initial engineering design and manufacture through to the vitally important aftersales service and repair support Australia wide. Additionally, we also service the products of other manufacturers either on site or in our repair centres.

“We will be showcasing the FAUN Variopress and a Viajet Street Sweeper at the expo – two of the most advanced trucks in their respective categories,” he added.

The Viajet Street Sweeper has a unique FAUN air circulation system with dust emissions and noise levels that are the lowest in the industry. It uses less water than others of its size and has improved suction performance, which makes it a versatile machine suitable for tasks from general street work to road works.

Similarly, Wastech says that the Variopress rear loader provides several innovations that put it ahead of the rest. The truck’s high compaction rate makes it a versatile all-rounder, particularly in urban areas, where this quieter vehicle allows 24/7 collection without disturbing the neighbourhood.

“Wastech is reintroducing FAUN to Australia and this will be one of the best opportunities for people to see the trucks and speak to us about a demonstration vehicle and sales,” said Mr Jones.
