The Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) has opened nominations for its Board of Directors.
The not-for-profit membership organisation is a national peak body with more than 2300 members from over 400 entities nationwide, controlled by a Board of Directors who are responsible for its strategic direction and governance.
This year, three WMRR Board Director positions are open for nomination:
- National Vice President – who will be elected by WMRR members,
- Elected Director – who will be elected by WMRR members, and
- Nominated Director – who will be appointed by the Board’s Nominations Committee.
The composition of WMRR’s Board aims to consist of directors who are active WMRR participants and contributors, bring demonstrated experience in the waste and resource recovery sector, and represent all of Australia to provide national coverage.
The WMRR Board meets for a maximum of half a day, six times a year.
Board positions are voluntary; however, reasonable travel and accommodation costs will be met.
WMRR’s current Board of Directors can be found here.
Nominations are welcome from all WMRR financial members and must be lodged by email.
