WMRR State Branch Committee president, vice president nominations now open

The Waste Management & Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) is putting the call out for nominations for State Branch Committee presidents and vice presidents, ahead of the expiry of existing two-year terms.

The national peak body for the waste and resource recovery industry, the WMRR’s membership covers sectors including landfill, recycling and resource recovery, waste-to-energy, e-waste, organics, construction and demolition, commercial and industrial, hazardous and biohazardous waste.

All financial members – with the exception of student members – are eligible to nominate for president or vice president of their State Branch Committee.

The roles will commence at State Branch Committee meetings in September.

WMRR’s State Branch Committees are representative bodies for each state’s waste management operations. Any financial member who participates in one or more of WMRR’s state working groups is eligible to join.

Nominations are open until 5pm (AEST) on Wednesday 13 July.
