Australia’s largest conference focused on the Australian organics recycling industry is returning to Melbourne in 2026.
The Australian Organics Recycling Association (AORA) Annual Conference will be held from 22-24 April 2026 at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park. The 2026 event has attracted more than 300 delegates and an impressive array of AORA sponsors and industry suppliers showcasing their goods and services across the three days at an interactive trade display and Demonstration Day (Wednesday 22 April).
Through the theme ‘Compost for Life. Saving our Soils,’ the 2026 Conference will explore how organic recycling can strengthen Australia’s agricultural productivity, environmental performance, and resource resilience.
Presentations will inspire practical solutions, foster collaboration, and showcase how compost delivers value from community-scale to commercial-scale applications.
So, who should attend the AORA Annual Conference?
Anyone who has a passion/interest in the circular economy; after all, with almost half of Australia’s waste stream consisting of organics, there is no circular economy without a successful organics recycling industry.
Local councils would also benefit greatly from attending, especially those implementing (or have implemented) food organcis, garden organics (FOGO). Sessions will help councils understand more about the contamination challenge and how compost can add value to local government areas from sporting fields to parks/gardens and roads.
If you have an interest, academic or practical, in soil health and regeneration, this is an important conference for you; compost is increasingly becoming a critical input into improving soil health and productivity and for any producer relying on soil for their production, profitability.
Farmers too are welcome and encouraged to attend to learn more about how compost can improve production systems.
Mark your diary now and don’t miss out on the AORA 2026 Annual Conference.
